Abstract

Abstract

This study explored the sustainability of school resource management and its contribution to educational quality from the perspectives of school leaders, teachers, and other key stakeholders. As schools faced increasing demands for accountability, equity, and long-term institutional development, understanding how resources were sustainably managed became essential for maintaining high-quality education. Guided by the principles of sustainable educational management, the study employed a qualitative multiple case study design. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, document analysis, and on-site observations to capture participants' experiences and practices related to financial, human, physical, instructional, and technological resource management. Thematic analysis was used to identify recurring patterns, challenges, strategies, and contextual factors that influenced the sustainability of resource management and its impact on teaching, learning, and school performance. The findings revealed that sustainable resource management was characterized by strategic leadership, collaborative decision-making, efficient resource utilization, and continuous stakeholder engagement, all of which contributed to improved educational quality. The study concluded that sustainable management practices strengthened institutional resilience, supported continuous school improvement, and enhanced educational outcomes. The findings provided practical insights and recommendations for school leaders and policymakers in developing sustainable resource governance strategies that promoted long-term educational quality and institutional sustainability.
