This study employed a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design to investigate the impact of student development programs on the career goals of college students at a university in the Philippines. The goal of the study was to determine how these classes impact students' professional goals and their ability to secure employment. First, 100 Bachelor of Elementary Education students were given survey questionnaires to fill out. Next, interviews and focus group discussions were conducted with selected participants to collect qualitative data. The results showed a strong positive relationship (r = .868, p < .05) between the level of engagement students had in job development programs and their desire to work in that field. Findings from qualitative research shed more light on how leadership, social and cultural involvement, and hands-on learning help students feel more confident in their abilities, become more motivated, and are more certain of their future path. When both sets of data were combined, it was possible to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the schools impacted students' professional identities. The study reveals that higher education institutions must enhance their programs to help students develop skills highly valued in the workplace and cultivate a lifelong desire to continue learning.
