This study examined the influence of human resource management (HRM) practices and work-related trust on school climate among faculty and staff of Davao de Oro State College. A descriptive-correlational design was used, with survey questionnaires administered to academic and non-academic personnel. HRM practices were assessed across recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. Work-related trust covered interpersonal trust, institutional trust, and trust in leadership, while school climate was measured through collegiality, openness, collaboration, and organizational support. Findings showed that HRM practices and work-related trust were both rated high, and school climate was perceived as generally positive. Significant positive correlations existed between HRM practices and school climate, and between work-related trust and school climate. Both variables were also found to be significant predictors of school climate. The study recommends that college administrators strengthen HRM systems and foster trust as deliberate strategies for sustaining a healthy and effective school climate.
