Conflict of Interest Policy
The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Viewpoints (IJIV) is committed to maintaining transparency, integrity, and fairness throughout the publication process. Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of a manuscript.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that may affect the objectivity or interpretation of their research. Potential conflicts of interest may include:
- Research grants or funding support
- Employment, consultancy, or advisory roles
- Institutional affiliations related to the study
- Personal or professional relationships that may influence the research
If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should clearly state that no conflicts of interest are declared.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to maintain objectivity and impartiality during the peer review process. Reviewers should decline invitations to review manuscripts if conflicts of interest exist, including:
- Collaborative or competitive relationships with the authors
- Institutional affiliations with the authors
- Financial or professional interests connected to the manuscript
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts that could compromise an unbiased evaluation.
Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for ensuring fair and unbiased editorial decisions. Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest and, when necessary, assign the manuscript to another editor to maintain the integrity of the review process.
Transparency and Ethical Standards
IJIV promotes transparency and ethical scholarly publishing by requiring full disclosure of relevant conflicts of interest at all stages of the editorial and publication process. Failure to disclose significant conflicts of interest may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or retraction when appropriate.
