Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Educational Viewpoints (IJEV) adheres to the ethical principles and standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics to ensure integrity, transparency, and quality in scholarly publishing.
Author Responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts to IJEV are expected to:
- Submit original and unpublished work
- Properly cite and acknowledge all sources
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and findings
- Avoid plagiarism and unethical research practices
- Comply with the journal’s maximum similarity index requirement of 15%
Editorial Responsibilities
Editors of IJEV are responsible for:
- Ensuring fair, objective, and unbiased editorial decisions
- Maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Upholding ethical publishing standards
- Addressing ethical concerns and complaints promptly and professionally
- Preventing conflicts of interest in the editorial process
Reviewer Responsibilities
Peer reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
- Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts under review
- Declare any potential conflicts of interest
- Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors
- Report suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or data manipulation
Misconduct Handling
Cases involving plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of unethical behavior may result in:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript
- Retraction of published articles
- Notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions or organizations
- Restriction from future submissions to the journal
Retractions and Corrections
IJEV publishes corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary to maintain the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record.
