Conflict of Interest Policy
The International Journal of Educational Viewpoints (IJEV) is committed to maintaining transparency, integrity, and trust in the scholarly publication process. All authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of a manuscript.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that may influence the research or its interpretation. Examples include:
- Research funding or sponsorship
- Employment or consultancy relationships
- Institutional affiliations that may affect objectivity
- Personal or professional relationships related to the study
If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include a statement indicating that no conflicts of interest are declared.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers must decline invitations to review manuscripts in cases where conflicts of interest may compromise impartiality. Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts, including:
- Collaborative or competitive relationships with the authors
- Institutional affiliations with the authors
- Financial or professional interests related to the manuscript
Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are expected to make fair and unbiased decisions and must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest. When necessary, manuscripts will be reassigned to another editor to ensure an impartial review process.
Transparency and Ethical Standards
IJEV promotes transparency and ethical publishing practices by requiring full disclosure of potential conflicts of interest at all stages of the publication process. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or retraction when appropriate.
